From Dreams to Reality: Overcoming Insecurities on My Journey to Becoming a Model

I want to model because it has been a dream since I was a little girl. I used to imagine being discovered. From singing badly in grocery stores to experimenting with hairstyles and fashion trends, I was always searching for something, trying to figure out who I was.
As I got older, I wrestled with deep insecurities. I did not feel worthy or capable. I did not think I was pretty enough or skinny enough to model. But everything changed when I began walking with Christ.
For the past two years I have been growing in my faith, and I now know the truth. I am fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. As Psalm 139:13–14 says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Modeling is no longer about being seen. It is about reflecting His light and walking in the confidence of who He created me to be.
